HAVE A HOPE HAVEN BIRTHDAY PARTY
Ask your guests to bring a toy or a gift card that will be donated to Hope Haven. We will feature your name and photo on our website to thank you! We have had many kids do this in the past, and they say it makes them feel great to give their presents to others! One special 11 year old girl – Ashley Turcotte – has even thrown a Hope Haven Birthday Party/Car Wash for her last 4 birthdays and has raised over $5,000 in toys, cash and gift cards!!!

MAKE A LEMONADE STAND AND/
OR BAKED GOODS STAND
Decorate it with balloons and a big sign that says “All Proceeds Donated to Hope Haven Children’s Shelter”. On a hot day, you might sell out! |
|
HAVE A NEIGHBORHOOD YARD SALE AND ASK EVERYONE TO CONTRIBUTE PART
OF THE PROCEEDS TO HOPE HAVEN
You and your friends could even make an art project table and sell arts and crafts! What else could you make to sell? |

START A COLLECTION IN YOUR CLASS
(OR BETTER YET, YOUR WHOLE SCHOOL!)
Some things we are always in need of:
Duffel bags or backpacks
Gift cards or fast food gift cards for special treats
Paper products – paper plates, cups, towels, etc.
School uniforms in new or like new condition |
MOST IMPORTANTLY: BE NICE TO OTHER KIDS
You never know if the boy who sits behind you on the school bus or the girl who is standing in front of you in the lunch line is being abused at home.
Be kind to everyone…. and if a friend should ever happen to tell you that
someone is hurting them, find an adult you can trust, such as a teacher,
guidance counselor or your parent, and tell them!
The best way you can help that friend is by telling a trusted adult. |
